Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities are promoted at the "EMITT 2023" Eastern Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Fair, which began on April 12 in Turkey.

In the exhibition that will last 4 days with the support of the State Tourism Agency and the organizational support of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Azerbaijan is represented by 2 local tourism companies, a hotel and hotel group and "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC.

The business meetings in B2B format are held with tourism companies, and opportunities are evaluated for bilateral cooperation that will stimulate mutual tourist exchange.

The fair, which will be held for the 26th time and will introduce tourism products by 600 participants from 30 countries, is considered one of the 5 largest fairs in the world. Last year, the exhibition received 33,595 visitors from 110 countries.

In 2022, Turkey took the 2nd place among the top 5 countries in terms of the number of visitors to Azerbaijan. According to the statistics of 2022, the number of Turkish citizens visiting Azerbaijan was 311,880, which means a 99% recovery of the 2019 figures.
